When I used to nap

There was a time I would wake up looking forward to my nap later that day. Just all of a sudden I stopped taking my daily naps. Don’t get me wrong, I completely miss them and I’ve been reflecting recently as to what happened.

The Summer of 2015 is when it all began…

I remember waking up one morning and thinking I’m bored with the bar life. Once I said that out loud and talked it out with friends the choice was easy. The first thing I noticed is how much my sleep changed. A whole week must’ve passed before I realized I hadn’t had a nap that week…crazy!

Why give up the bar life? A question I heard a lot. Some of my friends were shocked. I would hear that you don’t even have a drinking problem or what are you going to do instead? The main thing for me was that I didn’t want to be the Personal Trainer always in the bar. I dance more on the Wii, play Guitar Hero, have coffee or tea with friends instead of meeting at a bar.

I love Naps!!! Yet, I also like drinking less and the great sleep I’ve been getting since I made the transition. Something to be said for a great night’s rest. I love the energy I have and my occasional nap here and there.
